Barsha Smile Foundation

We are located in the Bhel Housing Complex, specifically in unit A804. It’s right in the New Town part of Kolkata, which is a place that never seems to stop growing. Living and working here means we see our neighbors every day when we’re coming and going. It’s a practical way to run things. We started this because we noticed things in North 24 Parganas that could be improved if someone just took the time. This isn’t a corporate office with a receptionist or a lobby. It’s just a regular flat where we keep our files and sit down to plan our next steps. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have more than three people over. New Town is modern, but we try to keep our work very grounded and simple. We deal with whatever the community needs at the time. You might see us walking around the AA1 area or near the Dc193A building quite often. We don’t have glossy brochures or anyone handling our public relations. It’s just us trying to make things a little better for the people living nearby. Usually, there is a pot of tea on the stove and some papers spread out across the dining table. It works for what we need to get done. It’s a short walk from the main road, but it’s nice and quiet once you get inside. We like being part of the Bhel complex and the neighborhood.
