Bangiya Computer Shiksha Foundation

We are located at 29, K P Mondal Road in the Budge Budge area. It’s a busy spot in South Parganas and we’ve been here for quite some time now. People from the neighborhood come in to learn about computers and how to use them for their daily tasks. It’s mostly local students and some older folks too. We have a handful of desks set up with various monitors and a few printers that sometimes act up. It gets pretty warm in the summer, but we have a couple of fans that stay on all day. Usually, someone is sitting near the entrance to say hello if you walk in from the street. The building isn't hard to find if you’re looking for the number 29. We keep things very simple here. Most days we are just showing people how to type or use the internet for job searches. The internet can be a bit slow on rainy days, but we manage. It isn't a fancy place with modern furniture, just a regular classroom setup. If you see the sign near the gate, you’ve found us. We spend a lot of time helping people feel more comfortable with technology. It's just what we do in this part of Kolkata. Sometimes we stop for tea in the afternoon and talk about the day. It’s a small group running the place. We don’t have a big corporate setup or anything like that. Just a quiet place to learn and get things done.
