About Bandhu Welfare Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Kolkata
You can find us in Bonogram, which is a small village in the Nadia district. We are right on the Bonogram Bazar Road, at house number 59, which belongs to Sudeb Sarkar’s family. Being near the bazaar means there is always something going on outside, with people buying vegetables or just standing around chatting. Bandhu Welfare Foundation is exactly what the name suggests—we try to be a friend to the people living around here. We are just local residents who know the area well. Life in the village has its own rhythm and its own set of problems, and we just try to help out where we can. We might help someone with a medical issue or organize a little something for the local school. It is not a formal or corporate setup at all. We sit in a simple room and people just walk in when they need something or want to share some news. We don't have a big budget, so we mostly rely on people helping each other out. The road outside can get quite dusty, and we spend a lot of time just being part of the community. We aren't trying to change things overnight. We just feel like if we look out for each other in our own little village, things will eventually get a bit better for everyone. It’s just us doing what we can with the little we have.
