Avijit Saha Coaching Centre

Me and a couple of others have been running this place near Janakalyan School for a while now. It’s right here in Kolkata 700049, a busy little corner where students are always walking by. We didn't plan for it to be anything fancy, just a space with enough chairs and some whiteboards where kids could actually sit down and get their work done. Most afternoons, it gets pretty loud around here with the traffic and the school bell, but inside the rooms, we try to keep things focused. It started out small, just helping a few neighbors' children with their homework, but then more people started asking if we had space for their kids too. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but it’s easy to find if you know where the school is. We spend most of our time going through textbooks and checking notes. It’s a lot of repetitive work, honestly. Some days are quieter than others, especially when exams are over and everyone just wants to be outside. We keep a stash of extra pens and some old notebooks for when students forget theirs, which happens more often than you’d think. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we usually go when we get a break. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood now, nothing more and nothing less. We don't have big signs or anything, just the name on the door and a lot of books piled up on the desks.
