Atmajaa Media Ventures Private Limited is based in Ariadaha, specifically at 2/6 B L Ghosh Road. It’s in the northern part of Kolkata, near the river. The address can be a bit confusing with all the numbers like 39/9/1, but we’ve been here long enough that most people find us. The office is in a traditional building. It’s not a modern office park. We have high ceilings and those big windows that let in a lot of light, which is nice. We do media work, which means we spend a lot of time on our computers. It’s a small operation. There isn't a boss in a separate cabin; we all sit together. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We talk about the local football scores and where to get the best sweets. It gets very humid here, so the fans are always on. We don’t have a polished marketing pitch. We just tell people what we can do and then we do it. The neighborhood is quiet compared to the city center, which is a nice change of pace. We have our routines, like the mid-morning tea break. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We like being a local media house that knows its neighbors. It’s just us, working away in Ariadaha. Sometimes the rain makes the river rise, and we watch that from the corner window while we work on our latest projects.
