M C Saatchi

You can find M C Saatchi over at Duke Residency, specifically in the Ashwini4C section. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the other side of Kolkata, but we’ve been here for a good bit now. The building is one of those places where you have to know which floor to go to. Inside, it’s just us and our desks. We spend a lot of time on the phones or looking at screens. It’s not the quietest office because there is always someone talking or the sound of the city coming through the windows. West Bengal has its own rhythm, and we definitely feel that here in 700 040. We don't really have a lobby with a receptionist or anything. If you come by, one of us will just look up from our work and say hello. We keep things pretty informal. There’s usually a stack of papers somewhere that needs sorting, and the coffee machine is almost always on. We just handle the tasks that come our way throughout the week. It’s a practical workspace for a small group of people who just want to get their jobs done without much fuss. We’ve settled into this corner of the city quite well. It’s just a regular office where we try to stay on top of things and keep the business moving forward one day at a time. It gets a little crowded on Mondays, but we always manage to find space for everyone.
