Our office is located in Singerah village, which is under the Olanpara post office in the Howrah district. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities. Being in a village means we are surrounded by a lot of green space and local houses. We work on wireless solutions from here, which might seem surprising given the location, but it works well for us. The pace of life in Singerah is much slower. We don’t have to deal with the heavy traffic of Kolkata, although we aren’t that far away. Most of the people working here are from the local area or nearby towns. The building we use is simple and fits in with the other structures in the village. We have all our tech gear set up inside. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have backups for that. It’s a very different environment than a standard office block. You can hear birds and the sound of the wind through the trees while you work. We focus on our daily tasks and keeping things running smoothly. It’s a good community here. People in Olanpara know where we are. We’ve been operating from this Howrah location for some time now and we like the balance it provides. It is a bit of a trek to get to the main highway, but the drive is through some nice countryside. We take our lunches outside sometimes when the weather is good. It’s just a normal workplace in a very peaceful setting where we do our daily work.
