Appna Disha Micro Foundation is based right near the Matrigara More in Darjeeling. If you know the area, it’s near where Ganesh Paul is. Matrigara is a place that stays pretty active, especially with all the people coming and going. The air here feels different than the plains, which is nice for working. We have a small office near the post office. It makes sending out letters and documents a lot easier since we can just walk over. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It has wooden floors that creak a little when you walk on them. We have a few shelves filled with files and some plants on the windowsill that need watering more often than I remember to do it. Working in Darjeeling means we deal with the weather, but we are used to it by now. The pin code is 734010 if anyone is wondering. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We'd rather just do the work. It’s a local operation, and most of the people who come by are from the nearby villages. We know the shopkeepers around the More and they know us. It feels like a community here. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to do, but usually, we head home when the sun starts to go down and it gets chilly.
