We are over here at 24/B Manujendra Dutta Road. It is right in the Dum Dum Cantonment area, not too far from where the Narendra Cinema is. Most days start with the sound of the traffic outside and someone making tea in the back. We have been in this part of Kolkata for a while now. The office isn't anything fancy, just some desks and computers and a lot of files that seem to pile up no matter how much we organize them. People walk by the gate all day heading toward the station. It gets pretty humid here in the summer, so the fan is always running. We mostly just focus on the work we have in front of us. There are a few of us here who have known each other for years. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or chat until it comes back on. It’s a busy spot near the P.O. and P.S. buildings. We don't really have a big sign or anything, just the address on the wall. If you are looking for us, you just look for the building near the cinema lane. It feels like a regular neighborhood office because that is exactly what it is. We try to keep things simple and just get through the daily tasks without making a big fuss about things.
