Ambuja Cements Ltd

Our location is at 130, Ram Dulal Sarkar Street in Kolkata. This is an area with a lot of history and very narrow streets. It can be a bit of a challenge to get around if you aren't used to it, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels normal. The building at 130 is an old structure, typical of this part of town. Our office inside is nothing special to look at. We have a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and piles of ledgers and receipts. It gets pretty loud outside with the street vendors and the general bustle of Kolkata life. We keep the windows open sometimes to get a breeze, though it usually just brings in the city noise. We’re right in the middle of things here. Our work involves a lot of coordinating with people who need cement for their projects. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by. There’s no corporate polish here. We just deal with the reality of working in a busy city. Sometimes the power goes out, or the rain makes the street outside flood a bit, but we just keep going. It’s about getting the cement moved and the paperwork finished. We don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. It’s just a group of us in an old building on Ram Dulal Sarkar Street. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same.
