Albert Study Circle

Albert Study Circle is located over in Manikpur. We have been in this part of Kolkata - 700079 for quite a while now. The room we use isn't very large, but we managed to fit enough benches and desks for everyone who comes by. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, especially when the ceiling fans are working overtime to keep the air moving. You can hear the sounds of the street from the windows, which stays pretty busy most of the time. We don’t have any fancy signs or big lights outside our door. Most people around here just know where we are because they walk past us every day on their way to the local market or the station. There is always a lot of chatter before things get started. I spend a lot of my time making sure there is enough chalk and that the boards are wiped clean for the next group. It is a bit of a scramble sometimes when everyone arrives at once. Manikpur is a good place to be, even if the roads get a bit muddy during the monsoon season. We just put out some old sacks for people to wipe their feet and keep going. It is a simple setup, really. No big office chairs or air conditioning, just a place to sit down and get through the work. People often stop by just to ask a quick question. We keep a clock on the wall that is usually fast.
