Universal Engineering

Universal Engineering sits right near Mak Office. Most days we are busy with whatever project came through the door that morning. It’s a messy place sometimes, but we know where everything is. People stop by because they know we handle engineering jobs without making a big deal out of it. We’ve been here a while now. The workshop gets hot in the afternoons, but that is just how it is. Sometimes we have to stay late to get a part finished. We don't have a fancy office or anyone sitting at a desk all day. Usually, someone is out on the floor with a tool in their hand. If you look for us near Mak Office, you will find the shop easily. We deal with various bits of metal and machinery. It’s hard work, but it pays the bills and keeps the local shops running. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing things down. We just focus on the job at hand. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves before we can even start on the customer’s order. That’s life in a shop like this. We have a few guys who have been here for years. They know the sounds of the engines and can tell if something is wrong just by listening. It is not always quiet around here, especially when the heavy stuff is being moved. We just keep doing what we do.
