Pioneer Machines

If you ever find yourself driving through MIDC Shiroli, you’ll find us at F-31. Pioneer Machines has been operating out of this spot for a long time now. It’s a typical industrial area, so there’s always that smell of oil and the sound of something humming in the background. We aren't the type to have a fancy reception or anything. Most of the time, the guys are out on the floor dealing with the machines, and the office part is just where we keep the folders and the old computer. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer months, but that's just part of the job here. We mostly just keep our heads down and work on whatever orders come in. It’s a lot of metal and grease, and we don’t really mind it. People call us up when something breaks or they need a specific part made, and we see what we can do. There's a small tea stall just down the road where we usually go for breaks, which is a nice escape from the noise. We’ve seen other shops come and go around Shiroli, but we’ve managed to stay put at F-31. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late if a job is proving to be difficult, but mostly we try to get home for dinner before it gets too late.
