Business Service Unit of Kolhapur

Our unit is over in G-135 at the M.I.D.C. in Gokul Shirgoan. Being near the telephone office makes it easy for people to find the Business Service Unit of Kolhapur, which is good because the industrial area can be a bit of a maze. We’ve been part of the Kolhapur scene for a while now. It’s a practical space. We don't have air conditioning or leather chairs, just desks and equipment that we use every day. We provide various services to other businesses around here. Sometimes it's repairs, sometimes it's helping with documentation or technical support. Every day brings something different. Some mornings it's quiet, and then by noon, three people walk in with urgent needs. We just take them as they come. The staff here is small, mostly local people who know the area well. We don't have a marketing department. Most of our work comes from the shops and factories located right here in the M.I.D.C. zone. We keep our overhead low so we don't have to charge too much. It’s honest work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at technical manuals. The rain can be quite loud on the metal roof during monsoon season. It makes it hard to hear on the phone, but we manage. When the day is done, we lock up and head home like everyone else. It’s not a fancy life, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid.
