Artist Event Management Group

Our office is tucked away in Lane 17 of the main city area in Jaysingpur. It’s right on Shirol Road, which can get pretty jammed up with tractors and cars during the day. Artist Event Management Group is basically where we coordinate with different performers and decorators. We’ve been here for a while, and the office is full of old posters and notes pinned to the walls. It’s not very modern, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time drinking chai and talking to artists about their schedules and what they need for a show. Jaysingpur is a smaller place, so word travels fast if you do a good or bad job. We try to stay on top of things, but with events, there’s always something unexpected happening like a fuse blowing or a performer being late. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just help set up for festivals and weddings and whatever else people are celebrating. Sometimes we are working through the night to get a stage ready. It’s a lot of phone calls and making sure the sound system doesn't buzz. The guys we work with are all locals from around Kolhapur. We’ve got a system that works, even if it looks a bit disorganized to an outsider. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in our hometown every single day.
