Sri Sharada Vidya Mandira Apollo Public High School Sundarapalya

Our school is situated right along State Highway 95 in Sundarapalya, which is in the Kolar district. It’s a bit of a long name, Sri Sharada Vidya Mandira Apollo Public High School, but most people just know it as the local high school here. Being on the highway means we see a lot of traffic passing by, but inside the gates, it’s all about the students. We have kids coming in from various parts of Kolar to attend classes. It’s a high school, so the students are a bit older and focused on their upcoming board exams. The building is functional with several rooms for different grades. We don't have a huge staff, so everyone chips in with different tasks. Sometimes the playground gets a bit overgrown if we haven't had time to clear it, and the dust from the road can be a bit much during the dry season. But we keep the classrooms as clean as possible. We follow the regular curriculum and try to make sure the kids understand the subjects. It’s a practical place without any big-city pretensions. People in Sundarapalya know us as a steady part of the community. We don't do much in terms of advertising or social media; we just open the doors every morning and get to work. The parents often stop by the office to check on their children's progress or to pay the fees. It’s just a normal school life here in rural Kolar.
