Sri Ravindra Bharathi School

Sri Ravindra Bharathi School sits right in Hebbni Village. It is a quiet place out here in Kolar. We deal with a lot of dust because of the local roads, but that's just part of life in the village. Most of our students come from the surrounding farms. Their parents are hard-working people. We open the doors quite early because the kids arrive on bicycles or walk long distances. The building is a bit old, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but we try to keep it clean. We have a small garden area where we planted some neem trees for shade. They are growing slowly. In the rainy season, the path gets a bit muddy, so everyone leaves their shoes by the door. We don't have fancy computers for every kid, just a couple in the main office that we use for records. The teachers here have been with us for years. We know most families by name. It’s not a big institution with shiny halls. It’s just a place where kids learn their ABCs and math. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider for light. We keep a big water pot in the corner for everyone to drink from. Life moves a bit slower here in Mulbagal. We just focus on getting the children through their exams and making sure they know how to behave. It’s a decent place for a village school. We sometimes have to fix the roof after the heavy winds.
