We're out here in Hachraobari II, which is part of Kokrajhar. Most people know Jahidul Islam's place, that's where we run things from. It’s a group of us farmers trying to figure out how to do things better together. We deal with the crops and the land every day. It gets hot, and the work is hard, but it’s what we know. Living in Assam, the weather can be a bit of a gamble, especially with the rains. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds and what to plant next season. It isn't anything fancy. Just some local folks working the soil. We started this producer company because it made sense to group up rather than everyone doing their own thing in silos. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we manage. You’ll usually find someone around the office or out in the fields if the sun is up. We grow what the land gives us. It’s pretty quiet around here for the most part, except when we’re moving the harvest. We aren't big city people. We just focus on the farming and trying to get a fair price for what we grow. People in the village help each other out, and that's how we keep moving. We’ve been here a while now, and we plan to stay put. If you're passing through Kokrajhar, you'll see the life we live.
