Gossaingaon Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over in Villbhomrabil. That is in the Kokrajhar district here in Assam. If you are trying to find us, we are at Alauddin Sk’s place, he is the son of Sahar Ali. It is a simple setup in the village. Most of us here are used to the rural life and how things move slowly. We are not trying to be some big corporate entity from the city. We are just a group of people working together in Gossaingaon. The weather can be a bit much during the monsoon season, making the roads to Villbhomrabil a little muddy, but we manage. You won't see any glass walls or elevators here. It’s just a room where we get together to talk about farming and how to handle the produce. India is a big place, but our corner in Kokrajhar feels small and familiar. We know the neighbors and they know what we are doing. Sahar Ali's family has been around for a long time. It feels right to have the office based there. We do not spend money on fancy advertisements or polished brochures. Most of our day is spent talking to the local farmers who stop by. Sometimes we just sit on the porch and discuss the price of seeds. It’s practical work. No more, no less. We keep the books in order and try to stay organized as best as we can without making things too fancy.
