Our group is Bodoland Farmer Producer Company Limited and we are located in Rajendrapur FV. Rashmi Narzary is the one who takes care of the paperwork at her place. We are a collection of farmers from the local area around the 783350 pin code. Most of us have small plots of land where we grow paddy and some vegetables for the market. Farming is tough these days because the costs of everything are going up so fast. We decided that if we joined together as a company, we could maybe buy our supplies for less. It is a very simple idea. We don't have a big office or any corporate managers. We are just the same people who are out in the fields every day. We meet in the evenings to talk about how the crops are doing and if we can find a better place to sell them. We don't use any marketing language or try to sound like we are from the big city. We are just villagers who know the land. Sometimes the rains are too heavy and we have problems, but we help each other out. That is why we have this company. It is just a way for us to stick together and hopefully make a little more money for our families. It’s hard work, but we don't know any other way to live. We’ve been here for generations.
