V. J. Exim Consolidated

V. J. Exim Consolidated runs out of Kadampolil House on B.T.S. Road. Being in Edappally means we are right in the thick of things. The house is old but sturdy, and it serves us well as an office. We have a lot of stuff coming in and out because of the export-import nature of the work. Sometimes the porch is full of crates waiting for the van. The neighbors are used to the noise by now, I think. We don’t have a flashy lobby or a receptionist; you just walk in and find one of us at a desk. We spend a lot of time looking at shipping schedules and talking to people at the port. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The rain in Edappally can be a real problem, especially when we’re trying to load things without getting them soaked. We’ve had to run out with plastic sheets more times than I can count. The office inside is a bit cramped because we keep adding more files every year. We started small and just kept going, adding a person here and there when we couldn't keep up. It’s a practical setup, nothing more. We just want to get the orders handled and the paperwork filed without too much fuss. That’s the daily life here at Kadampolil House, just keeping the business moving along.
