Salamath Food Exports

Salamath Food Exports operates out of Salamath House, which you can find at P.O.Box No.127, Kappalandi Mukku. It’s more of a home-style setup than a corporate office, which suits us just fine. The building has been in the family for a long time, and we’ve turned part of it into our main working space. Being in Kappalandi Mukku means we are right in the middle of a lively area where people know each other by name. We spend our time managing food exports, which involves a lot of phone calls and checking on shipments throughout the day. It’s not always easy, especially when there are delays at the port or with the trucks, but we do what we can. We don't have a big staff, so everyone chips in with whatever needs doing. Sometimes the dining table becomes a desk for sorting through paperwork or drinking tea during a break. We take pride in the fact that we handle things ourselves without a lot of outside help. The neighbors often stop by to say hello, and the whole place has a very local feel to it. We aren't trying to be the biggest export house in the world; we just want to do right by the food we handle and the people we work with every day. It’s a modest way of living and working, right here in Salamath House.
