We operate out of No. 16/453 in Thoppumpady. Being in Thoppumpady means we’re close to the action, especially with the port and all the shipping activity nearby. Even though the name sounds big—Tropicana World Trade—we are actually a pretty small operation on the ground. Our office is a simple place where we manage the details of international trade. It's a lot of paperwork and tracking numbers. We spend most of our mornings drinking tea and going through the overnight messages from other time zones. It can be a bit hectic when multiple shipments are arriving at the same time. The building we’re in is nothing special, just a regular place at 16/453. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and we're there working. We’ve lived and worked in Thoppumpady for years, so we know the local transporters and the guys at the docks. That helps get things done when there's a holdup. We don't use much marketing speak because our work usually speaks for itself. If we say we're going to get something moved, we do our best to make it happen. It’s a lot of long hours sometimes, especially when there’s a delay at the port, but that’s the nature of world trade. We just keep things moving from our little corner here in Thoppumpady. It's just what we do every day to keep the business going through the ups and downs.
