Aswathy Ex-im Pvt. Ltd.

We’re located over on Cochin College Road, in Panayapilly West. It’s a nice enough area, though it gets a bit busy when the college students are out and about. Aswathy Ex-im is a small operation. We have a few rooms where we handle the export and import side of things. It’s mostly paperwork and phone calls. The air can get a bit salty being this close to the water, which I don’t mind. We’ve got a couple of old desks and chairs that have seen better days. It’s not a place for showing off. We just focus on getting the crates moved and the documents signed. Sometimes the internet goes out and we all just sit there staring at each other until it comes back. It gives us a chance to catch up on local gossip. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to do the job right so people keep coming back. My uncle started this place years ago and we’ve just kept it going. It’s a lot of work, especially with the regulations changing all the time. But we manage. We know the neighbors and they know us. It’s a tight community in Panayapilly. We like it here. It’s not much, but it’s our business and we take care of what we need to. There is a small tea stall on the corner where we usually take our breaks.
