We are based in the Cochin Special Economic Zone in Kakkanad. This isn't like a shop you would find on a main street; it’s an industrial setting where we focus on ceramics. The whole area is full of factories and warehouses, so there is always a lot of activity and the sound of machinery in the background. Our day-to-day life involves managing the production of ceramic items and making sure they are packed correctly for transport. It’s a hot and noisy environment inside the facility because of the kilns and the ventilation systems we have running. We spend a lot of time checking the finished products for any cracks or flaws. The office side of the business deals with a lot of paperwork because of the regulations in the special economic zone. We have to be very organized with our shipments and the materials coming in. Most of the people working here have been part of the team for a long time, and we have our own way of doing things. It’s not a place for browsing; it’s a place where work gets done. We focus on our daily targets and making sure the trucks are loaded on time to head out. It’s a bit repetitive, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we all understand. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
