Ambika Marbles & Granites

Ambika Marbles & Granites is our family-run spot located right on M. C. Road in Perumbavoor. We have been working with stone for a long time. The yard is usually full of different slabs of marble and granite stacked up. It gets quite dusty, especially when we are cutting pieces to size for a customer. Dealing with heavy stone isn't easy work, but we've gotten used to the lifting and the grime over the years. We mostly see local builders or people fixing up their own houses. They come by, walk through the rows of stone, and pick out what they like. Perumbavoor is a good place for this kind of business. M. C. Road stays busy with trucks and cars all day long. We don't have a glossy showroom with air conditioning. It's just the outdoor space and a small shed where we keep the records and handle the payments. Sometimes we have a lot of stock, other times we are waiting on a shipment from the quarry. We try to be fair with people. If a slab has a crack or a weird mark, we tell them. There’s no point in hiding it because they will see it eventually anyway. We just show up every morning, move some stone around, and help whoever walks in. It’s simple, hard work, but we like seeing a nice piece of granite go out to a new home. We’ve been part of the Perumbavoor community for years and plan to stay.
