Siladon Handicraft Producer Company Limited is based in Aloundi village. We are in the Khunti area which is part of the Ranchi district here in Jharkhand. Unlike some other groups around here we focus a lot on the things people make with their hands. There is a lot of talent in our village and the surrounding areas like Taro Siladon. We wanted to have a company so we could actually sell what we make instead of just hoping someone comes by to buy it from our doorsteps. It is a lot of craft work which takes a lot of time and plenty of patience. We meet up in Aloundi to check on the latest items and talk about where we can send them for sale. Life here is pretty slow and we like it that way but the work is steady. We are not professional businessmen or anything. We are just local folks who know how to make things well.
