At Khunti Mahila Vikas Farmers Producer Company Limited, we are mostly women from around the Khunti area. Our main spot is over at Rajesh Kumar Kashyap’s place, right near Plot 52/247 in Birhu. If you know the Patratoli More, you’re pretty close already. We aren't a big corporation with people in suits. We are just neighbors who decided it was better to work together than try to handle everything on our own. Farming is what we do. It’s not always easy, especially when you have to balance the house and the fields. We talk about seeds, water, and where to sell what we grow. Being part of this group means we have people to talk to when things go wrong with the crops. We don't have a glossy brochure or anything like that. We just meet up, figure out what the priority is for the week, and get to it. Khunti is a busy place, but out where we are in Birhu, it feels more connected to the land. Most of us have been working these fields for a long time. We don't claim to have all the answers, but we try to share what we know. If you walk past Patratoli More and ask for us, someone will point you toward the office. It’s just a simple room where we keep our records and meet. We’re just trying to do better for our families and our town.
