Godapani High School

Godapani High School is right here in Sastri Nagar, specifically at No. 212 in Unit 4. If you know Bhubaneswar well, you know this part of town gets a bit busy in the mornings when all the kids are heading to class. It is a normal high school where we spend our days dealing with the usual things like chalk dust, loud bells, and the chatter of teenagers in the hallways. The building has been around for a while and shows its age in some spots, but it does the job. People around Odisha know us as just a local place where families send their children to get through their teenage years and hopefully learn something useful along the way. Most of us who work here live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood thing. We don't have fancy stuff or big shiny signs, just the classrooms and the playground where the grass gets a bit dry in the summer. During the rainy season, the walk to the entrance can get a little muddy, but everyone just deals with it. There are plenty of desks and the teachers are usually busy marking papers or trying to keep the noise down. It is a simple life at the school, focused on the books and the exams. We just keep the gates open and the lights on for the students who come in every day from the surrounding streets.
