If you find yourself in the Old Town area of Bhubaneshwar, you might come across Explore 2 Odisha. We are located at 3304, Vasistha Nagar. Our spot is very close to the Lingraj Temple, which is a place everyone around here knows well. I’ve lived in this part of the city for most of my life. The 751002 area is full of history, and I wanted to be right in the middle of it. Our office is a small room in an old building, nothing too fancy or modern. It’s often a bit cluttered with maps and scribbled notes on pieces of paper. I handle the bookings for the tours we do around the state. Since we are near the temple, we get a lot of people walking by and asking questions. I like talking to them, even if they aren't looking for a tour right away. Running a business in Old Bhubaneshwar is different from the newer parts of the city. It’s more crowded and the streets are narrower, but it has a lot of character. We aren't a big agency with a glossy website or a fleet of brand new buses. Usually, it’s just me and maybe one other person helping out with the phone. We just try to help people see parts of Odisha that they might miss otherwise. It’s a simple life, mostly involving a lot of coordination and hoping the traffic isn't too bad today. We just enjoy showing people the local spots near the temple and beyond.
