We have been sitting here near the station for a long time, watching the town grow and change around us. The school itself is a bit of a landmark for the local people. We have a lot of rooms and a pretty large student body, so it stays busy from early morning until late afternoon. Being close to the station means there is always a bit of a buzz nearby. We aren’t a corporate institution with polished hallways. Our floors have seen a lot of feet, and our walls have a lot of layers of paint. We focus on the high school years, which are important for the kids before they head off to college or work. The teachers here are mostly locals who have lived in Mehmedabad their whole lives. They know the families and the history of the town. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just open the doors, teach the classes, and try to keep the environment organized. It’s a big responsibility, but it’s just part of the daily job. Parents know where to find us if they have questions about their children’s progress. We’re just a practical school on Station Road, helping kids get through their final years of school before they move on.
