Siri Chaitanya Junior College

We are located at Door No 3-9-3 in Khammam. It is a junior college where local students come to finish their intermediate studies. The building is a simple structure right in the town area. We have classrooms with rows of benches and whiteboards for the teachers. Every morning, the students arrive on their cycles or are dropped off by their parents. The atmosphere is quite focused because the intermediate years are busy for everyone. We have a small office where we keep the student records and the exam schedules. The staff room is where we sit and discuss the day’s work over a cup of tea. In Khammam, the summers are very hot, so we have fans in every room to keep things moving. We spend a lot of time on the syllabus and making sure the students are prepared for their final tests. There is a small area out front where students gather before the first bell rings. We do not have anything fancy here; it is just a place for learning. The neighborhood is familiar, and we know many of the families who send their children here. We deal with the usual things like power cuts and fixing the furniture when it breaks. It is a quiet, steady routine that we follow every day. We open the doors early in the morning and stay until the afternoon classes are wrapped up. Everything is kept very practical and straightforward for everyone.
