Afone School

Our school is located in Praksh Nagar, right here in Khammam. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the windows. Afone School isn't a massive campus with stadiums or anything like that. It’s just a building where we’ve set up our classrooms. We have a small entrance where the parents wait in the afternoon, often complaining about the parking or the sun. Inside, the hallways are narrow and the walls are painted a simple color that we try to keep clean despite all the fingerprints. The teachers here have a lot of work to do, keeping track of all the different grades and subjects. We use simple English and try to keep things straightforward for the kids. There’s no big corporate office behind us; it’s just the headmaster and the staff making decisions as we go. We have a routine that we stick to, starting with a quick assembly and then moving straight into the books. Sometimes the fans make a clicking noise that can be distracting, but we’re used to it by now. The kids are just like kids anywhere else—some like to study and some just want to go outside and play. We just provide the space and the time for them to be here and learn what they need to. It’s a basic, honest place for the people of Khammam to send their children.
