Our little shop is right here in Gollabazar, part of the Khammam Urban area. The address is 8-3-106, but most people just know us by sight since we’ve been here so long. It’s a typical local store where we keep all sorts of daily items on the shelves. It’s often a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much as we can so people can find what they need. You’ll see bags of rice, some spices, and other household things piled up. It gets quite busy in the mornings when everyone is out shopping for their kitchens. I spend most of my day behind the counter, talking to neighbors and weighing out items. The fans overhead hum all day to keep the heat away, but it’s still warm. We don't have a fancy computer system; I just write things down in a ledger and use a simple calculator. Sometimes the deliveries are late or the stock runs out before I expect it to. It’s just how things go when you’re running a small place like this in the bazaar. There's always noise from the street outside with the rickshaws and people calling out. It’s a lively place to be, and I like seeing the same people come back week after week. It’s not a big life, but it’s our life here in Nizamabad and we are happy with it.
