Keonjhar Sadar Krushak Krish-E Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited

This is the group for the Keonjhar Sadar area, based right here in Janardanpur at Plot Number 57. Jaladhar Dehury helps us out with the space. We are just local farmers who realized that doing everything by ourselves was getting too difficult. The name we use is Keonjhar Sadar Krushak Krish-E Fed, which is a bit long to say, but we are just a simple producer company. Our lives revolve around the cycle of the seasons. We spend our mornings checking on the soil and seeing how the crops are coming along in Banajodi and Raisuan. It’s a lot of manual labor and we don't have the big machines that some of the richer farms have. We rely on our own hands and the help of our neighbors. We get together to discuss which seeds are working and where we can sell our produce without getting a bad deal. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a lot of tired people at the end of a long day. We don't have any polished mission statements or fancy goals. We just want to make sure the harvest is decent and that we can keep doing this for another year. Janardanpur is our home and these fields are where we belong. We take things one day at a time, dealing with the pests and the rain as they come. It’s hard work, but we are used to it by now. We just want to survive and keep the farms healthy.
