Speed Technologies

We’ve been running Speed Technologies out of Amar Market in Sector-9 for quite some time now. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop tucked in among the others, but we keep ourselves busy. Most days involve a lot of looking at computer screens or taking apart laptops that have seen better days. The market can get pretty loud and crowded in the afternoons, especially with people looking for parts or quick fixes. We started out small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage things ourselves. There is usually a pile of keyboards or old monitors in the corner that we mean to clear out but never quite get around to. Our counter is often covered in loose screws and small tools. People from around Sector-9 know us mostly by word of mouth. We don't really do any big advertising or have a fancy website. If someone has a problem with their tech, they just walk in and ask. Sometimes we can fix things right then and there, but other times we have to wait for a specific part to come in from the city. It’s a bit of a slow process sometimes, but that’s just how it goes. We like being part of the local market scene. It feels more honest than working in a big sterile office building somewhere else. We just do the work and hope the machines behave. Every day is a bit different depending on what walks through the door.
