Vinay Sachdeva

I’ve been at 726, Sector-6 in Karnal for a good number of years. Karnal is a decent place to be, and Sector-6 is one of those residential areas that’s seen a lot of change. My name is Vinay Sachdeva, and this house is where I manage all my daily tasks. It’s a two-story place, and I use the ground floor for most of my work. The garden out front is mostly just grass and a few pots I forget to water, but it makes the place feel less like an office and more like a home. Inside, it’s pretty basic. I’ve got a computer, a printer that jams too often, and a lot of shelving for all the files I’ve collected. I don’t like the corporate feel of the new developments, so I’ve kept things exactly as they were when I started. The walls are a pale cream color and the floors are marble. Sometimes it gets a bit lonely working by myself, but the postman usually stops for a chat. I like the independence of it. I don’t have to answer to anyone about how I keep my space. If there’s a stack of newspapers in the corner, that’s just how it is. It’s a straightforward life. I do my work, I take care of the house, and I stay out of the way of the city’s noise. It’s a quiet existence, but I like it that way.
