Karimnagar is a busy town, and we are right in the thick of it at Sree Chaitanya Degree College. If you come by our part of 505001, you'll see students everywhere. They hang out near the entrance or rush inside if they are late for a lecture. Our building is a tall one, and the stairs get a lot of use every single day. The office is on the ground floor, and it’s always full of people asking about hall tickets or admission forms. We have a lot of metal cupboards filled with files that go back many years. It’s a very functional place without much decoration. We have ceiling fans that click as they spin and whiteboards that are stained with old marker ink. The staff room is usually a mess of books and lunch boxes. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor. We are more focused on getting the lectures done and making sure the attendance is recorded properly in the registers. Karimnagar can get incredibly hot, so the afternoons are usually a bit sluggish, with everyone just trying to stay cool. There’s a tea shop just outside the gate where we often send someone to get a round of tea for the department. It’s just a regular degree college where people come to get their certificates and move on with their lives and careers.
