Tropical Bar

If you walk into Hotel The Landmark on The Mall in Kanpur, you'll find us tucked away inside. Tropical Bar has been around for quite a while, and the furniture has that look of a place that has seen a lot of people over the years. Kanpur is a city that can be quite loud and dusty, but once you step into the bar, the air feels a bit cooler and the noise from the traffic outside starts to fade away. We have regulars who have been coming here for years, sitting in the same chairs and ordering the same drinks every time they visit. It’s a steady kind of life. Being part of the hotel means we also meet people from different parts of the country who are just staying for a night or two on business. The lighting is kept low, which helps people relax after a long day of meetings or traveling. We don't do anything too complicated. We just make sure the bottles are stocked and the glasses are clean. Sometimes the music is just right, and other times it’s just background noise that nobody really notices. It’s a simple setup in a good part of town. The Mall is always busy, so there is always something happening just outside the doors, but in here, we just keep things moving at our own pace. It’s a comfortable enough spot for a drink and a bit of a chat.
