Bubbles Lounge

If you are looking for us, we are over in the 67-C Block of Panki in Kanpur. The landmark most people use is the Panki Power House or the local Subzi Mandi. Being near the vegetable market means there is always a lot of noise and activity outside our doors. We set up this lounge because the area needed a place where people could just sit down for a bit. It is not a very large space, but we have tried to make it comfortable enough for a quick break. The lighting is a bit dim and we keep the music at a level where you can still hear yourself think. Most of our customers are locals from the Panki area or people passing through after doing their market shopping. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy and making sure the seating is in good shape. It gets quite dusty outside with all the traffic near the power house, so we are constantly cleaning. We don't have a massive menu, just the things we know we can make well every day. The staff here are mostly local guys who know the neighborhood. It is a straightforward business without any big corporate backing. We just open up in the morning and stay until the evening rush dies down. It feels like a part of the community here now, being tucked away in this corner of Kanpur.
