Dev Singh

My name is Dev Singh and you can find me over at the Cmo Office in Kanpur, specifically at room number 23. This is all part of the Dist Hospital complex. Working in a hospital setting in a city like Kanpur means there is never a quiet moment. There are always people coming and going through the hallways, and the atmosphere is usually quite heavy with all the activity. The office is a basic room with a lot of paperwork and files that seem to never end. I spend most of my day sitting at the desk, talking to people who come in with various needs or questions about the hospital's work. The hospital itself is a big place and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know where the Cmo Office is located. It’s right in the heart of the district, so the 208001 area is always buzzing with traffic and noise from the main roads. I usually get in early before the heat starts to pick up, though in Kanpur, that’s easier said than done. The walls of the office could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to worry about that. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to get through the stack of papers on the desk. It’s a government building, so it has that specific feel of old wooden desks and the smell of ink and old files.
