Career Point Sarvodaya Nagar

We are located at 117/111, C-5 in the Old UPFC building in Sarvodaya Nagar. This part of Kanpur is quite well-known, and being in an older building gives the place a specific kind of feel. It’s not a modern steel-and-glass tower. It has thick walls and wide hallways. We have several sections partitioned off for different activities. I spend my days walking between these rooms, checking on things and talking to the people who work here. It's a busy environment. There is always someone looking for a specific file or asking about a timetable. We use a lot of paper here, so you’ll see stacks of it on almost every flat surface. Sarvodaya Nagar has a lot of offices, but our corner feels a bit more personal. We have a small area where we sit during lunch and talk about things other than work. The furniture is functional and has been around for a while. We don't see the need to change things just for the sake of looking modern. It works for us. Getting here can be a bit of a crawl during peak traffic hours, but that's just part of the routine. We are a small team and we handle everything ourselves, from the cleaning to the clerical work. It's a plain, honest workspace where the day goes by quickly because there’s always something to do for the people coming in.
