Ayesha Sign Board

Ayesha Sign Board is in Barra II, New Basti. The shop is right near the Masjid. It’s a busy spot for us. We handle sign boards all day long. Most mornings start with moving the bigger boards out front so we have space to work. It’s not a fancy office, just a workspace with a lot of paint and materials lying around. People from the neighborhood often stop by to chat or ask about a small job they need doing. The mosque is right there, so we hear the prayers and everything going on outside. Sometimes it’s loud with the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been at this for a bit. It’s just us doing the work, making sure things look okay before they go out to the customers. There’s always some smell of thinner or paint in the air here. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us getting through the daily orders. When the sun goes down, we start cleaning up the scraps and wood. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. The floor is usually covered in offcuts by the afternoon. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a small space for all the boards we make. If you walk past New Basti, you’ll see our signs leaning against the wall. That’s pretty much how it goes every day here. We don't really do much else besides signs.
