New Superior Agencies is right there at 254/H, Shop No. 1 in Adarsh Nagar. Jajmau is a busy place, and being in Shop No. 1 means we see a lot of people passing by. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack the goods. Most of the day is spent handling customers who drop in or answering the shop phone. It gets pretty loud with the street noise, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. We’ve got shelves lining every wall, filled with all sorts of things we distribute. The floor is concrete and a bit uneven in spots. We have a small desk tucked in the back where the ledger stays. It’s a lot of manual counting and writing things down. We don’t use much technology here, just the basics. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two, so we keep a couple of flashlights handy. It’s just a local agency doing what agencies do. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the block. We share news and sometimes help each other out with change or moving heavy stuff. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. We close up around eight and head home. It’s a steady routine that hasn't changed much over the years. We just show up and do the work. The sign outside is fading a bit now.
