New Shivli Road is always humming with traffic, and we are right there in Kalyanpur at number 1, 6. It’s a busy stretch of Kanpur. Our college has been a fixture in this neighborhood for a long time. You can see the wear on the stairs and the desks, but it shows the place is being used. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It is just a straightforward school where students show up in their uniforms and try to get through their lessons. The teachers have their own way of doing things, often sitting in the courtyard when the weather is nice. We get a lot of dust from the road, so there is a lot of sweeping to be done every single morning. The office is usually stacked high with notebooks and registration forms. We don't have a big team, so everyone chips in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s fixing a broken window or sorting out the mail. It is a very local atmosphere. People from around here know us, and we know them. We don't try to act like we are something we aren't. It is just a place for learning in a crowded, lively part of the city. We keep the routine going, day in and day out, and that’s about it for us. There’s always someone coming by with a question, and we just handle it as it comes without making it a big deal.
