Gyan Ganga Academy

Our academy is located on Panki Road in Kalyanpur. We are right in front of Jawahar Lal Inter College, which is a very well-known landmark in this part of Kanpur. Because we are so close to the college, we see a lot of students passing by every single day. The building we are in is quite simple. We have a few rooms filled with benches and whiteboards that are always covered in markers. It gets a bit noisy when the college lets out, as the street fills up with people and cycles. We don't have any polished reception area or fancy brochures to hand out. People just walk in through the door and ask about what we do. We spend most of our time sitting with students and going over their lessons. The fans stay on all day to keep the heat away, though they can be a bit loud. Panki Road is a major route, so the dust is a bit of a constant battle for us. We just keep a broom handy and do our best. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We’ve been here in Kalyanpur for quite some time now and we’ve seen many groups of students come and go. It’s a regular part of our lives to be here every day, opening up the shutters and getting the rooms ready for the next batch. We like the location because it’s so central for the local kids.
