You can find Manu Adventures & Tours right in the Bhagsu Nag area of Mcleod Ganj. We are just across the road from Hotel Anand Palace. It’s a bit higher up than the main square, which is nice because it’s a little closer to the actual trails. We spend a lot of time thinking about the mountains. Most of the people who come to see us are looking to go for a hike or see the waterfall nearby. We have gear piled up in the corners and some old maps pinned to the walls. It’s not a fancy showroom, just a place where we plan out the routes and check the weather conditions for the day. The hills around here are pretty steep, so we always tell people to take it easy and drink plenty of water at first. We’ve been based in Upper Dharamsala for years and we’ve seen the town grow quite a bit since we started. There’s always someone coming in asking about the trek to Triund or the higher passes. We just give them the straight talk on what the conditions are actually like. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty from the road, and the chai shop next door is where we usually grab our lunch when we aren't out on a trek. We like the work because it keeps us outdoors in the fresh air. It’s not about big marketing, it’s just about knowing the rocks and the paths well enough to help others enjoy them.
