Our office is over in Mettukuppam, situated in the MACN Towers on Old Mahabalipuram Road. If you’ve driven down OMR lately, you know how much the area has changed with all the new buildings going up. We are part of that whole process, though usually on the side where people are wearing hard hats and looking at blueprints. Tdm Infrastructure has been around this part of Chennai for a bit now. Our day starts early with phone calls to sites and checking on materials like cement and steel. Being on the third floor gives us a bit of a view, but mostly we are looking at computer screens or stacks of files. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in infrastructure, more than most people realize. We deal with contractors, laborers, and engineers all day long. Sometimes things go according to plan, and other times the weather ruins a week of work. We just take it as it comes. The office is usually a bit messy with site maps and half-empty coffee cups. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to polish up how we look. We’re just a group of people trying to get projects finished on time. It’s a lot of back-and-forth between here and the actual construction sites. We keep things moving because that’s what this industry requires of us every single day to get things built.
