Sree Srinivasa Cabinet Makers

Our workshop is at 39/1 on North Parade Road. St. Thomas Mount is a familiar area for us. We’ve been making cabinets here for a long time. It’s a dusty job, but someone has to do it. Sree Srinivasa Cabinet Makers isn’t a fancy name, but it tells you exactly what happens behind our doors. We take wood and turn it into storage. Most of our day is spent measuring twice and cutting once, though we still make mistakes occasionally. We fix them and keep going. The noise from the saws is constant throughout the morning. We have a few regulars who come by whenever they’re renovating a kitchen or a bedroom. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking past the shop on North Parade Road. We keep our tools sharp and our workbench cluttered. It’s an honest way to make a living. Sometimes the wood doesn’t cooperate or the finish takes longer to dry than we expected because of the humidity. We don’t stress too much about it. Waiting is just part of getting it right. It is just me and a couple of others here. We know our craft and we stay busy with the locals. That is plenty for us. We just keep building things that fit where they are supposed to go. It works.
