Ata Wood World

Over at No-2E in Chandran Nagar, along the C.L.C. Works Road in Chromepet, is where we run Ata Wood World. It’s a decent-sized space but we’ve managed to fill it up with all sorts of wood products over the years. Chromepet is a lively area, and being on Works Road means we see a lot of activity from the nearby shops. We’re not a huge corporation with a lot of layers and managers. If you call, you’ll probably talk to one of the same three or four people who are always here at the desk. We spend our time checking the quality of the wood and making sure the cuts are what the customers asked for. The floor is usually covered in some dust, and the air smells like fresh timber, which we don't mind at all. We don't have a big budget for fancy decorations or signage. We just keep the tools in good shape and the lights on. It’s a bit of a noisy place when the machines are running, but that’s just part of the job we do. We’ve been at this for a while and we know our way around a piece of lumber. We don't try to impress anyone with big talk. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. That’s been our way for as long as we’ve been in Chandran Nagar.
